Update
The Feed Back I received in class
1. It's fun but needs more dialog.
2. Make the game harder.
3. Add a background for the text so it is readable.
4. Have something to introduce/ explain why you are there.
The Solutions I came up with
1. Add dialog to the troll before the puzzle and after each attempt.
2. Keep the three lives/ try's but the puzzle is suffered after each attempt. The player also needs to get 3 right answers to pass instead of just one. (WIP)
3. I added a semi-transparent black background to the text that appears
4. I Added a game start menu and when you press play it brings you to a short introduction story.
Homework questions
"Was this particular thing fun?"
The response was that it was fun because of the puzzle solving and because it will be more difficult than it is now.
"Were the controls easy to use and intuitive?"
Yes because Most games use WASD for movement and when something is interactable, it prompts the player with the button to interact.
"Did the player know what to do?"
They eventually figured out what to do but were unsure at first. This has been fixed by adding dialogue detailing what to do.
"What do you think would make this better?"
Obviously just finishing the game will make it better but that includes a multitude of riddles and answers, shuffling objects, adding variation to the objects, and having a story at the end so the player feels as though they saved the character.
